Three Tips when You’re not feeling good
Today, I am absent. I cannot report for work because I am not feeling good. My body temperature is rising bit by bit, I cough and cough since yesterday, and my joints are a little bit weak. I am not feeling good, today.
Our company requires us to have a check up with doctors not associated with our company. When think about it, it’s a hassle. Why have a check up outside the company when they have internal doctors on duty? But I know, they have a better reason.
Almost everyone is familiar with the current pandemic: Influenza A (H1N1) or commonly known as Swine flu.
It’s a protocol now. Have yourself checked by an external doctor then get a clearance from the internal doctor when you report for duty. I believe, it sounds better.
As I sit here in my room, I have seven tips in mind when you’re not feeling good. This applies to me, and I hope it applies with you also.
Tip 1: When you anticipate you’re going to get sick, buy plenty of fruits and drinks that can help you replenish lost fluids. Buy fruits rich in fiber and vitamin C. Orange, apple, and many to mention. There are also drinks in the market that can help you replenish body fluids lost. In the Philippines, we have Propel, Getorade, Pocari Sweat, and many to mention. The key to Tip 1 is Preparation.
Tip 2: What’s the use of the fruits when you won’t eat them. Eat the fruits you prepared. Drink, drink, and drink lots of water together with drinks that can help replenish lost body fluids. I usually drink 2-3 glasses of water every thirty minutes.
Tip 3: Take a good rest. When you are sick, stop working. Minimize physical and mental activities. Engines need a break, so should you.
Be healthy. Catch you later.
