Church Practices Revised, Temporarily

Today is 21st of June, 2009.

I attended the Holy Eucharist and announcements were made:

  1. During the Holy Communion, use hands when receiving the Holy Bread instead of your mouth.
  2. During the moment of “Our Father”, refrain from holding the hands of your seatmates.
  3. At the end of the mass, when you intend to meet the Celebrator of the Eucharist (or the Priest in charge of the ceremony), ask his blessing through your forehead.  Don’t kiss his hand.
  4. These measures are temporary.  Church practices such as these will resume when A (H1N1) virus or Swine Flu is gone.

Everybody should be aware of the Swine flu.  The best way of transmission is by “touch.” To prevent this, use alcohol or wash your hands often.  For more information on how to prevent swine flu, click HERE.
